We love helping people step out of their daily routine to shift perspective and replenish. Although we prefer juggling and skill toys, there's lots of ways to do this and foreign travel is one of my other favorites. When I was in college, I had the opportunity to spend time in London, Montreal, and Prague and each of these opportunities allowed me to explore and grow. For years, I've been telling my nieces to look for opportunities like these while they're in college.
Much to my surprise, my one niece attended a study abroad fair and came home ready to go to Malawi! Despite people pointing out that she's never been on a plane and maybe she should start smaller, she became more and more committed. When asked why Malawi, she gets very animated talking about this summer leadership service trip in which she gets to design a project to benefit school children there.
So Paul and I are on board to help her raise the funds she needs to get there this summer. We've helped her get a Go Fund Me page and Paul will be donating a performance. She still has a long way to go in fundraising, but she is determined. I can't wait for her to have this growth opportunity.
